Indie Feed: A podcast for the Hip-Hop heads

indiefeed1

I’ve been listening to Indie Feed Hip-Hop for a little over 2 years now and I figured I should give them some props, courtesy of TECB. They are a podcast channel on iTunes that releases new music about once a week. The host is Dirt E. Dutch, who some of you out there might recognize as one half of Troublemakers (Breez Evahflowin is the other half). The shows are one song long and Dirt E. Dutch will give a quick synopsis of the track at then end. This is what Indie Feed’s MySpace page has to say about what they do:

High quality Hip Hop music is hard to discover if the recording industry doesn’t back it. People either spend hours on the Internet sifting through songs to get to the right stuff, or they just give up looking.

We think it makes more sense to let the music come to you. Our Hip Hop Junkies collect unique and relevant works from artists and labels that have given permission to distribute their content, then we present you with a fresh collection of songs that transfer right into your MP3 player with no hassle, and no fees. The single-serving format allows you to add these songs easily into your music collection with no fuss. (You do NOT need an iPod to subscribe)

Official Hip Hop is NOT dying! If that’s what you think, then someone lied to you baby paul! In fact, it’s alive and thriving on the IndieFeed Hip Hop Channel! One song per podcast, Legal, Fresh, and best of all Free. At the end of the song get info about the music and where to get more. Collect them all! We’re a Business Week Online Best Pick, as well as a Top Featured Podcast on iTunes.

Indie Feed is a good way to get a little taste for artists you might never give a chance to. For example, Brooklyn Zu: I never thought I’d enjoy their single until I heard it on Indie Feed. Once the song was over, Dirt E. Dutch informs the listener about the guest appearances on their album, and suddenly it seemed worth purchasing.

Go to iTunes and subscribe to Indie Feed Hip-Hop now, and tell Dirt E. Dutch and TECB sent ya.

  1. i’ve heard you talk about this shit a bunch before. it sounds pretty dope.

i never ended up hearing that troublemakers album, but im a huge fan of breez. dude is so nice.

  2. Hell yeah Dutch is the shit

  3. They need to update that myspace page. Dirt E. has held down the hip hop channel by himself for at least 3 years. lol. Indiefeed is great though. I subscribe to all the channels.

  4. indie feed hip hop is concise…..some other music podcasts out there are an hour long and feature so much music that it can be a little confusing and hard to remember new artists.

  5. b-t-dubz, big ups to lazyline for putting me onto indiefeed way back when. thanks home girl!
