I recently ordered the “extended package” (no homo) from my cable comany so I could be able to watch the Bruins playoff games in high definition. For some stupid reason or another, I’m still not getting the HD channels. However, I’m quite pleased to find out I now have three MTV stations — MTV Hits, MTV U, and MTV Jams — that actually play videos (imagine that!) all day. Even though the station’s are undeniably overloaded with poppy emo bullshit, Soulja Boy’s new lyrical masterpiece, and every possible version of Kid Cudi’s “Day ’N’ Night,” they sometimes play a good video. And since I’ve been getting my commercial hip-hop grizzly-grind on lately, I am enjoying a fair share of what they’re playing. My favorite new video has to be “Mafia Music” by Rick Ross. At first I just thought this shit was hilarious (from Ricky devouring crabs, orally pleasing his gold bracelet, and, mostly, acting gangsta with his bitch-titties hanging out), but after a few more views ”Mafia Music” has literally become one of my favorite songs out right now. Forget all the negative publicity homeboy has been getting, Rick Ross be hustlin’ everyday. Here’s the video…
The album, Deeper Than Rap, just dropped today, too, if y’all didn’t know!
More Tenacious Lee commercial/gangsta rap talk in the upcoming weeks! Word to Short Dog, I’m outtie five-thousand, ya beetches!
