Word to Dark Helmet, I fooled you. Regina is my favorite. I love her (tweet) and would never be a vehicle in spreading the free and illegal download of any of her albums. Homegirl deserves every penny she gets — plus some – for her music. I titled the post so misleadingly…and disgustingly (forgive me, Regina)…for a few reasons:
1. You’re now at The Echo Chamber Blog. Link us. Love us. Hate us. Make a statue of us. Do whatever you want. Just be sure to check the rest of the site out!
2. I’m interested in seeing the reactions, both positive and negative (if any reaction at all), from Ms. Spektor’s album not being here.
3. Regina joked about her upcoming album, Far, being mistakenly released as Fart, and it made me laugh. I just thought you should know, well, because I think the word “fart” is hilarious, and, if you don’t think the same, I’m sure Bobby Budnick will eventually catch up with you and beat that ass.
4. Most importantly, I wanted to bring you all the good news about Regina’s newest effort, Far, all in one spot.

The producer line-up was announced for Far:
–David Kahne (he worked with Regina on Begin to Hope)
–Mike Elizando (helped produce Fiona’s Extraordinary Machine)
–Garret Lee (co-produced latest records from Weezer and R.E.M.)
–Jeff Lynne (of Electric Light Orchestra and Traveling Wilburys)
Far received an official release date — June 23.
The cover art (see above) for Far was released.
Dates were set for her European tour, and a US tour is said to be happening in the fall.

The album is already up for pre-order (regular or special edition) through Amazon, and should be available June 23 anywhere CD’s/records/mp3′s are sold. I can’t wait. Far is definitely my most anticipated album of ’09.
