Chamber Music: Wu-Chronicles Part Trezzy?

wu-chamber-music

Because I have yet to see any type of press release, I’m uncertain if Chamber Music – available June 30 — has actually been marketed as a “new Wu-Tang album,” or if a mass of hopeful fans and regurgitating blogs have manipulated the facts out of anticipation.  I’m sure it’s the later.

Regardless, I can tell you that, based on the tracklist (seen below the cut), which does not feature GZA, Masta Killa, or Method Man, Chamber Music will not be an official studio LP from the Clan.  However, the seventeen tracks do appear to be new and exclusive to this project — a pleasant surprise, considering I was expecting an album stuffed with soggy Wu-Tang leftovers.

So.  If RZA’s work on the mic and/or the boards sounds nothing like it did on Digi Snacks, the U-God features are only choruses, and the Sean Price verse doesn’t sound like every other Sean Price verse, Chamber Music could be a promising release.  And almost like the third installment in the Wu-Chronicles series.  Only with unreleased tracks.

  1. Yeah I saw the track list last night and I figured it would be more of a chronicles/indie culture because of all the guest spots. If thats the case this may be good but I def need to hear some samples.

  2. I found a couple of tracks off this album…here are the links http://usershare.net/7wwxfv5os9ec

  3. “i need a foot massage/tell the masseuse if she can’t do it for me, do it for god” … ghost is nice.

sounds like they skipped the mix-down process on the second song. or maybe just the quality isnt that great. i hope the vocals fit the song a little better on the album.

    both pretty nice though, thanks.

  4. yeah I listened to the Ghost and Havoc song and the Rae, Sean P, and Mega song today. I liked both… those could be the calzone links but this computer gets fucked up on Zshare and usershare… Sean Price sucks by the way. Dood is on so much shit, it’s like his manager sells his verses as buy-one-get-one free. But that Mega verse is too nice. Im buying this album and I’m sticking it with my Allah Math KDs and my chronicle KDs and the Indie Culture joint. Def not a real album.

  5. not a real one, but it’s dope, so far. i swear ‘mega says some of the illest shit ever. “a lyrical aqueduct”? so fucking nice.

  6. I got the cd. It was good, but there were too many interludes and too few songs. That’s what made the cd a little bit worse. Though the songs are awsome and my personal favorite is “Evil Deeds”. RZA should have taken some of those interludes and made them into songs because they could be really good like “Free like ODB”. Anyway this is a very nice album that contains new material based on their old stuff so it sounds old school and I like that. I give this cd 7/10.

  7. Word up, thanks Mikki. I’ll prob be coppin’ it soon.
