A couple days ago, after destroying family style chicken, FrO’Doyle and I were almost on the brink of mental retardation. We could barely formulate sentences, and figuring out how to split our tab had never been so complicated. But after a good five minutes of excruciating mathematics, we eventually figured out how to split the tab evenly without having to ask for change. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but we were literally devastated by food consumption.
On the not-so-simpleton side of things, FrO picked an excellent CD for the ride to and from the restaurant — Mekalek’s My Killer Tape Part II. The tape is possibly my favorite mix from Mek, but, anyway, to finally make all of these words at least somewhat relevant, Mr. Rahlo Santiago (aka Romen Rok) sets the tape off lovely. It reminded me how much I wanted to drop a line about the greatness of his Vimeo page, and show all of you this video of Romen working the MPC…
The kid is bugged. Like wear a tiara while remixing the Ren & Stimpy theme, or have rhymes up in your girls panty dresser, or wear a hannibal lecter mask and rhyme about eating people type-bugged. Romen’s great, and I’m glad to see he’s still doing his thing here in Rhode Island.
