"Free BBQ?... P!"
Aiyt. I figured it would be a good idea in 2010 to post all the tracks I’m enjoying as I hear them, rather than wait until the end of the year and be overwhelmed. This is the first track from ’10 to hit TECB, but that’s only because I couldn’t decide which song from End Times I wanted to stream (they’re almost all dope). Anyway, this jammy, “Critically Acclaimed” — featuring Lil Fame, Saigon, and Sean Price — is easily the best cut off Statik Selektah’s new LP 100 Proof:
Aside from “The Coast” (the Kali, Fashawn, and Evidence track), the rest of the album sounded soft after my first breeze-through. For real, I’m not completely sure if 100 Proof even warrants another listen.
And now, a dose of genius from Johnny over @ UGHH.com:
“I fuckin love him [Statik] as a producer but to be honest i’d love if he sticked to the beats”
Heh? I hope I make more sense than that.
