Everyone on this site knows I’m a Frankie Riptide fan. Although he had seemed to fall off the face of the planet (and even the internet) he has remained one of my favorite artists to ever come out of Rhode Island. I still give Frank’s CD’s the occasional spin and have even mentioned him in a few posts here on TECB. Recently, after a bit of a hiatus, Frankie Riptide has resurfaced with some new material; this time under the name Norman Rockwell. Needless to say, the man has changed. I don’t really have a clue what his new voice and unusual annunciation are all about, but it sounds almost nothing like the Frankie Riptide of earlier days. I’m eager to hear some opinions on his latest release, Say Halo to Mah Little Friendz…, which can be heard — and downloaded for free — over at Basement Flavor.
Until then, a little Frankie Riptide throwback:
Peace.
