I caught this track on my favorite, and most listened to, Podcast; IndieFeed. I already mentioned my love for Dirt E. Dutch and IndieFeed last February, now I’d like wax blog-etic on this track produced by Marco Polo for his tandem upcoming release with Ruste Juxx entitled The Exxecution.
We all know Ruste Juxx, being the Streetlife to Sean Price’s Method Man, he’s now on his way to releasing his second full length LP. This time you can find his album in the “Ruste Juxx” bin at Newbury Comics rather than the “Sean Price” one, since his name is nowhere to be found. Marco Polo is back producing a full length album for a label mate as he’s coming off his Torae collabo which matted perfectly with his hardcore delivery. Polo’s piano-heavy production is evident on this track, and is more-or-less the same few notes dubbed over and over for four-minutes. But it works perfectly up against Ruste Juxx’s raspy voice and gullier-than-gutter content. He’s my breakout candidate for 2010. He should have the same fans that Young Buck and Mysonne have, but they should be better entertained since those two hardly ever get the quality of production by Marco Polo. Check your local record stores March 23rd for this album.
