Having a website makes hearing new music that much easier. We get music submissions from all over the world, and, although the vast majority get deleted, we always show love to those who make it through our rigorous screening process.
This project — Friends & Family, a compilation by way of Cult Classic Records — hit our inbox last week. In the email, Bob42jh, a man whose name I will not even pretend I know how to pronounce, wrote how he and Thomas Prime had started the label last month and their first release is currently available for free download over at their BandCamp page. I gave Friends & Family a check and now I’m here to advise you of its awesomeness.
Regardless of what you have planned moments from now, the collection of fifteen instrumentals from fifteen different artists (only one of which I had ever heard of), is well worth your time. Personally, I’m glad to be bringing you news of this release, even though the writing of this post is interfering with the cooking and consumption of the store-brand box of macaroni and cheese I’ve been fantasizing about over the last twenty-four hours.
That said, I’ll leave you with a song…
…a link to the delicious free download of Friends & Family, and this poll on macaroni and cheese:
Comments on the album and any other mac & cheese-related thoughts are welcome in the comment section.
