Just dropped on November 15th, Contemplations of Aborting Damien is the collaborative effort of Carl Kavorkian and Rummage. This album is available for free download at Carl Kavorkian’s Bandcamp page, here. The duo says “this album is an evil/Satanic concept album that was created simply because we felt like it, and wanted to get it out of our system. We DO NOT worship Satan.” Word. Not too dissimilar to the homie Eyes & Teeth, whose album Dusted I just reviewed, here, they had a dark passenger and just made a record with it. The duo produced the album entirely and there’s no filler. Just their dark, grimy sound.
Don’t want to take my word for it? Well, asshole, peep this filth then:
That tool of the devil you hear, the electric guitar (peace to Ronnie James Dio) is used throughout the album. All of it used extremely well and it never sounds like a rock/rap hybrid that we all so equally loathe. It sounds natural as “music” without needing it to be defined. So whether you think this is work of the illuminati or you’re a fan of angry, dark music underneath pure unadulterated hip-hop, look no further.
