A while back Verbal and I planned to pick an album that the both of us would review. It was something I saw done in Under the Radar, an indie magazine that reminded me of the greatness of the now-defunct Elemental Magazine. However, after realizing that we not only hate each others taste in music, but also hate one another, the idea fell by the wayside and never came to fruition.
This morning I woke up to an email informing me that Verbal had posted the new REKS and Statik Selektah song featuring Action Bronson, “Riggs & Murtaugh,” a track I stored in our draft section since the press release was delivered and had intentions of posting once time permitted. I’m not sure how the people will feel about me posting the same exact thing back-to-back, but I thought it was a decent idea that could display our differences in blogging. Verbal provides a flashback and the facts; I give you examples of my procrastination and Ronald McDonald in blackface. Both good stuff, and it’s somewhat in line with our original idea.
Anyway, give the song a listen if you already haven’t:
PS
If you’d like to see us do a double-review on an album, we’re up for suggestions. If you have any, the comment section asks of you to bless it with your glorious opinions. Just keep in mind that we’re lazy music snobs who cringe when formality is asked of us. Or at least I am. I’m unsure if I can say the same for the Prince of Paragraph.
