A few weeks back I attended a funeral and heard this quote: “Sorrow is greater than joy, as sorrow has a refining influence.” It’s a line out of the bible. The use of “refining” is really elegant and powerful. It’s crazy how much heartbreak, tragedy, etc. can strengthen your character and better your perspective. I’m unsure how much it balances out, but that’s life. You’re going to take a few punches to the ball-bag living it. Breathe, and stay strong.
