Unless you’re one of those ass hats who has never visited TECB before, you should know that Wu-Tang has started to use cuts in their songs. More importantly, the man behind all of the platter scratching has been RI’s own DJ Mekalek.
This upcoming Ghostface album you see pictured above is really exciting to hear about. Mek was telling a few of us about the project over the weekend – it’s a concept album, entirely produced by Adrian Younge, that tells the life and death story of the man (assumingly he’ll be Tony Stark until his passing) who resurrects as The Ghostface Killah. And then goes on to tell the story of him catching bodies and wreaking havoc on those who sent him to a lifetime of pushing daisies.
Check the lead single here, which I’d guess is before or at the half-way point of the project:
April 16 is the date for the album in its entirity, folks. It’s called Twelve Reasons to Die. CD, vinyl, and cassette will be available. Creek that. And get the free download to ”The Rise of the Ghostface Killah” via Soul Temple Music’s BandCamp.
