Slaughterhouse x araabMUZIK – “Hammer Dance” [VIDEO]

If my last post doesn’t upset the Paragraph Posse, this one right here will do the job without a doubt. Verbal can’t stand these guys. Nor can I, for that matter, but what I certainly can do is dig the sci-fi sounds from the talented Rhode Island resident araabMUZIK. He produced the track.

REKS x Statik: “Riggs & Murtaugh” ft. Action Bronson

A while back Verbal and I planned to pick an album that the both of us would review. It was something I saw done in Under the Radar, an indie magazine that reminded me of the greatness of the now-defunct Elemental Magazine.  However, after realizing that we not only hate each others taste in music, but also hate one another, the idea fell by the wayside and never came to fruition.

This morning I woke up to an email informing me that Verbal had posted the new REKS and Statik Selektah song featuring Action Bronson, “Riggs & Murtaugh,” a track I stored in our draft section since the press release was delivered and had intentions of posting once time permitted. I’m not sure how the people will feel about me posting the same exact thing back-to-back, but I thought it was a decent idea that could display our differences in blogging. Verbal provides a flashback and the facts; I give you examples of my procrastination and Ronald McDonald in blackface.  Both good stuff, and it’s somewhat in line with our original idea.

Anyway, give the song a listen if you already haven’t:

PS

If you’d like to see us do a double-review on an album, we’re up for suggestions. If you have any, the comment section asks of you to bless it with your glorious opinions. Just keep in mind that we’re lazy music snobs who cringe when formality is asked of us. Or at least I am. I’m unsure if I can say the same for the Prince of Paragraph.

REKS x Action Bronson x Statik Selektah – “Riggs and Murtaugh”

It feels like just yesterday when a fresh-faced, orange and black themed TECB was posting songs by this new (to me) cat from Boston named Reks. Here we are in 2012 and both TECB and Reks have grown immensely. The latest album from the Boston word slayer, Straight, No Chaser, is available now at all the digital retailers you’re used to (iTunes link.) To get you in the mood, peep this track from the album with Action Bronson (produced by Statik Selektah) “Riggs & Murtaugh.”

Pretty rugged I must say.

Duke01 – “Clarence Boddicker” (w/ Papa la Bas) [VIDEO]

It’s always a pleasure for me to post (dope) music from places outside these American states. Duke01, hailing from the U.K., released an EP a little while back called R.T.K. (Release the Kracken). He now has a video for one of the tracks, “Clarence Boddicker.” If that name sounds familiar it’s because that’s the dude that had it out for RoboCop.

I’m always weary when I hear someone making some sort of rock-rap hybrid, but I had no idea that was the case for this track before going in. And it more-than-works in this case. As an added plus, the video has a plot with some twists and turns, instead of dudes rapping in front of graffiti’d walls.

If you want to sample some more Duke01, peep the track “Separated by an Abyss” we had on here back in February, which is also a heavy sounding, in your face style. Stay tuned for more Duke01 and more world-wide hip-hop.

Signif – “Like My Style” [VIDEO]

Back in November we showcased the album Embracing Rejection from SigNif. Since you’re all awesome blogaholics, you downloaded it and entered it into your iPods, yeah? Well if you’re also apathetic and lazy and didn’t follow-up with your homework, the homie Signif just dropped a new video, “Like My Style,” to get you into the learning mood. Those dope loops you here are from Gee Wiz, who also is no stranger to these pages.

Now that you’ve earned a reprieve, hit those hip-hop books…er…links, and do work.
