Paul White — “Street Lights” ft. Danny Brown [VIDEO]

Apparently animation is the way to go these days. (Mic check one-two for the recent others.)

Paul White — “Street Lights” featuring Danny Brown

sl

It’s been four years of me preaching Paul White. When the collective hip-hop fan decides to catch on to the greatness of his music, I’ll be the snob congratulating them all for being so incredibly late to the party. Here’s White’s latest with Danny Brown, the guy who blew up the internet when he dissed MTV’s “greatest rapper ever” shit show. (You’re welcome for TECB’s lack of coverage on that, by the way.)

Stay tuned for more from both of these cats in 2013. Danny is set to release Old, his upcoming LP featuring a handful of Paul White productions, while Paul apparently has a number of works in store for the year, including his Watch the Ants EP this summer.

Danny Brown – “Grown Up (Nubbz Remix)”

I’ve never been a huge fan of remixes, but every now and a again I’ll hear something that catches my ear. Netherlands-based producer Nubbz has been making a name for himself recently by remixing some big-name tracks. His remix of Freddie Gibbs’ “Terrorist” made it all the way to the pages of Hip Hop Dx, as well as countless other blogs.

This right here, though, is his best remix to date. In my humble, sometimes overbearing, opinion:

Similar vibe as the original, but totally new at the same time. Hit the D/L button on the player if you want your own MP3 copy of this track, or head to Nubbz’ Soundcloud page and browse his other offerings. It’s not all hash bars and windmills over there; Holland has beat-makers too.

Loop-dee-loop.

Danny Brown — “Molly Ringwald” (prod. by araabMUZIK)

It’s abundantly clear Verbal and I are fans of Danny Brown. In the last year alone, it’s likely we’ve posted more music of his than any other artist in our miserable four-year existence. He’s either on TECB’s front page or tongue-deep in pink. Recently Danny had found himself pondering over some good ol’ ginger pubes, so it’s no surprise his latest track is called “Molly Ringwald.” Brown teamed-up with Rhode Island’s araabMUZIK to make it happen.

And get the download here. Depending on how much you’re digging the sound, stay on the look out for this to be pressed on 7″ vinyl.
