Opski Chan – “Motions” (prod. by Barry Bones) [VIDEO]

Quick video from the Isolated Wax fam; “Motions” by Opski Chan, produced by Barry Bones.

“Ya’ll might want to invest … in Teflon turtlenecks.”

“Ode to Blast Mode” – Computer Chip (Megabusive)

You want to know what you’re doing for the next one minute and twenty four seconds? Other than reminiscing about the good old 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System days, you’ll be hearing some new Computer Chip (or Megabusive depending on how you feel.)

Megabusive continues his onslaught of new music in 2012 and head over to the man’s Bandcamp page to grab this track and others. He recently re-upped his 365-songs-in-365-days project that I’ve mentioned a few times on TECB. Go grab that before it takes another hiatus. Also, if any of ya’ll are heading to Austin for SXSW, give a lookout for Isolated Wax as they’ll be there at a showcase called “PROG RAP ATTACK.” I really wish I had a job to call out from so I could shoot down there.

“Crunch Time” – Megabusive

I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s resolutions. My take is, if you want to stop or start doing something, then just start or stop doing it, why the fuck do you need an invitation? Excuse my language. Same goes for Valentine’s Day: why should you tell your loved ones you love them one day out of the year; what kind of selfish shit is that? Before I go off on one of my incoherent diatribes of corporate America and it’s manufactured holidays, get to scoping out Megabusive’s latest offering, a max-single by the name of “Crunch Time.”

Megabusive aka Computer Chip released this song as the New Year unfolded and it’s part of his year-long project called My 2012 where he’ll drop singles and some videos that will be independent of other projects, EPs, and albums. I like that idea and Chip isn’t a stranger to year-long projects, he’s not far removed from dropping a joint a day for a year.

And by joint I mean a song written and produced by himself, each day of the year. For you math failures that’s 365 songs. I barely speak 365 words a year. Also check his work as The Fucking Mutants with Dave Dub here. Support Chip by downloading “Crunch Time” here and tell him TECB sent ya.

“Pick Your War” – MegaEarth65ive f/ Adam Warlock

MegaEarth65ive is a conglomeration of Megabusive, Agartha Audio, and Passive 65ive. These folks got Adam Warlock to jump on this track to wax poetic about war, mainly what’s been going on lately in Libya. Ghadafi (and his many spellings) has fallen and a new regime will take place shortly and the artists at Uncommon Records and Isolated Wax take the time to tell the listener a progressive side of war from the hip-hop world.

Click this to download directly from the trio’s Bandcamp. The verses are as follows: Megabusive, Warlock, then Passive65ive. Agartha Audio is responsible for the music in the back drop. I’m loving those Asian-infused-strings.
