Nocando – Tits ‘N Explosions

Nocando - Tits 'N Explosions - cover

Easily one of the best titles of an album in recent memory, and please, take it as the tongue-in-cheek it is meant to be, Tits ‘N Explosions just dropped today on Hellfyre Club, Nocando’s own label. The self-proclaimed ”rap game Michael Bay movie” should be on a well deserved meteoric rise in the next coming months. Hellfyre Club’s rap collection is poised to take over (Open Mike Eagle, Busdriver, et al.) and Tits ‘N Explosions should be your forewarning.

It could be the subject matter of heartbreak and women that’s hitting close to home, but this album was exactly what I needed today. Press play right here  for “No Sweat” with Pigeon John and Cel….

…. and then head over here to Name Your Price for the album. It’ll be worth your time and investment, trust.

Juels – GIGAWATTS

cover

Beat making extraordinaire Juels is back with a new beat tape. GIGAWATTS has that prototypical Juels sound that, if you heeded my advice you heard on A Trip to the Moon and Break Bread, but with new variations and an overall slower tempo. And by no means is that a bad thing. A lot of 8-bit video game sounding synths and as always drums, drums, and more drums, you definitely get a “gigawatt” kind of feel listening all the way through. Creek “Space Drops” for what I’m getting at …

The following track, “Rampage” is my favorite on the whole album. But that one you’ll have to download to hear it. And, for fuck’s sake, it’s free. So what’s stopping you? Hit the link, then hit download, then crank it to eleven, yo. You might even hear a Sean Price track at the end.

Busdriver – Arguments With Dreams

The dude Busdriver has new EP out, Arguments With Dreams. Some of the most refreshing stuff I’ve heard in a little while. He’s already released one album in 2012, and now in the final stretch of the year he’s released this EP and is about to kick off a 15-city tour this month. Peep this post if you’re in the San Diego area or you will be on the 13th day of October.

Easily one of my favorites off this album, “Wernor Herzog” featuring the two gentleman he’s touring with, Nocando and Open Mike Eagle:

Head over to Big Dada, cool name right?, to download this 7-track EP for gratis. And look for Busdriver at a rap venue in your city.

House Shoes f/ Big Tone – “Time”

Detroit mainstay House Shoes’ album Let It Go dropped today, and to celebrate he released this video for “Time.” He enlists fellow Die-troit City brethren Big Tone for this joint and the remainder of the album is also filled with a who’s-who of indie rap artists. Danny Brown, MED, Oh No, Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Nottz, Guilty Simpson, Quelle Chris, Chali 2na and more fill the album out, which you can grab up at all of the major digi-outlets. Look for the deluxe version which includes the instrumentals.

Shoes said last night after his album release party that 50 limited edition instrumental tapes will be released this summer as well. So far everything I’ve heard from Let It Go has been fresh, let us know what you think.

An Echo Chamber Exclusive, New Track From Jubien: “Brain Food”

New track courtesy of Jubien, “Brain Food.” Produced by SoCal resident, Ophrap.

“Spit that crack out the jaw, servin’ ‘em raw.”

Stay tuned to TECB for more from this cat, and don’t forget to peep our original post of his work here, and leave us some feedback in the comments. I’m feeling the vinyl crackle and the fluttering strings on the beat and Jubien’s quick verse leaves us wanting more.
