Meta P — “Kill Swag” featuring Celph Titled [VIDEO]

If you haven’t heard about Meta P’s Kill Swag movement by now, it’s about time you start paying attention. For a dose of background on the Rhode Island artist you can check my ABC’s of TECB (see: “K”), where I featured Meta and Kill Swag as one of 2012′s top highlights in music, but, aside from that, this is almost everything you need to know — my dude HATES swag.

The video you see above is the anthem for Kill Swag, and who better to recruit for swag assassination than the Landmine Lieutenant and Demigodz strong-arm, Celph Titled. The track is produced by Knuckle-Up Productions and video animated by recent RISD graduate Tyler DiBiaso. In spirit of the much-anticipated release, I caught up with Meta for some brief word association. This is how things went:

TECB: Kill Swag.

META P: Smack your ear snares. Forties of OE. Ciphers on the porch. MPC bass. Dirty underground clubs. Music that stays in the streets. Commercial rape.

TECB: Celph Titled.

META P: Monster. Rubix Cuban. Top 5 dead or alive. Underground legend. DEMIGODZ. Lyrical giant.

TECB: Degrassi.

META P: Teen wave. Texting. Lollipops and mix CDs with glitter. Crying over everything. Gays in wheel chairs.

TECB: Die Hard.

META P: Hasn’t been good since the second one. It died hard with Justin Long. A computer virus? I wish I could find the writer whose idea that was and give the writer aids.

TECB: 8th Wundah.

META P: Alien producer. Astrology expert. Outside the box. Pure talent. Gritty samples. Insomniac beat maker.

TECB: Pink Friday re-re-release.

META P: Throw up dried and stinking in the summer heat. Dirty glitter sneakers. Babies in the trash. Rat hair. XXXXXL leopard thongs. Transsexual. Cancer.

TECB: 2013.

META P: Mine.

Meta P — “Soul to Take” [VIDEO]

This video pretty much speaks for the perseverance I vouched for in my ABC post of 2012. (Check the letter K.) Some heavy shit right here.

Meta P & Orlov: “Normandy Beach” ft. Lord Lhus & Milez Grimez [VIDEO]

What do you little tin weasel peckerwood looneys know about Normandy Beach – the upcoming project from Meta P and the Parisian production team of Amillion and Dreamcut?

Nothing? Well at least my question filled you in on a few of its details. This is the lead single. Creek it.

TECB – we storm the beaches.

***** ABC’s with TECB ***** 2012 ***** YEAR in MUSIC *****

abc w tecb 2012

2012 was big for music. John Mayer made a comeback. Green Day dropped three albums. El-P put more than his name into every critic’s mouth. Frank Ocean and the rest of OFWGKTA came out of the closet. A band named “fun.” existed. Pussy Riot happened and cries of injustice saturated Facebook statuses until it was time to Instagram lunch. And Barack Obama signed to Roc Nation. Lucky for me, things I care about also happened in the past three-hundred and sixty-five days. This is my 2012 year-end post. An alphabetized breakdown of the year’s highlights in music. I hope you enjoy. Creek my gangnam style:

Emilio Lopez & RJBeats – “That’s Word” ft. Meta P [VIDEO]

I just drove in and out of my gym’s parking lot. Blogging seemed like better exercise this evening. That’s word. I am a herb. But at least I’m two-and-a-half sentences deep on my year-end ABC post. And I’m here now to up the new video from Emilio Lopez & RJBeats – ”That’s Word,” featuring the reigning push-up contest champion of Rhode Island, Meta P.

Creek it.
