Pace Won and Mr. Green — “My God” [VIDEO]

Always, always, always been a fan of Pace. Even when he dropped that abomination of an album on Detonator. But the desperado slingin’ bottles in the alley on some villain shit wearin’ a mask like Jim Carrey was quick to redeem himself with his work with Mr. Green, the beat maestro from Philly, and I’ve all but forgotten about the aforementioned effort. Mild negativity aside, I’m really feeling this cut. It’s from Pace and Green’s upcoming second LP The Only Number That Matters is Won, due out the first week of September.

After you give the track a listen, feel free to reminisce with us. I’ll be glad to talk “Christmas in Hollis,” Kriss Kross at The Tent, and my plummet into hip-hop obsession upon discovering Wu-Tang Clan.

To complete my drug-laced video trilogy.

Pace Won & Mr. Green’s “Liquor and Drugs”

Let me say this.  I am a little disappointed in the lack of discussion on the EarDrumZ produced Dr. Double Smoke Ring joint I posted a few weeks back.  I mean, seriously, everyone and their mom has gotten right off some pot brownies.  Y’all didn’t like the track, or at the very least want to share a story or two about puking off my porch?  (That happened one night.)  C’mon.

At least “Cheeba Cheeba” was slightly enjoyed and commented on…by two former weed smokers.

Regardless, the Pace x Green video you’ve hopefully already taken the time to watch is pretty dece.  I’ve always liked Pace Won, and Mr. Green seems to be getting better as the time goes on.  This will be off their second album together, The Only Number that Matters is One.  Come release date, maybe I’ll see you at Newbury Comics…searching for the single copy they’re stocking in the Rhode Island area.

This might just be an Amazon order, my friends.

Peace out.  I’m hungry.
