Parallel by Equalibrum

I came across Equalibrum by recommendation from someone who was doing some modern-day digging. Searching Bandcamp is an underutilized medium for finding new artists. As much as we like to think we are Darwin’s gift to the blogging world, there are more hip-hoppers out there that haven’t heard of us than have heard of us. Just relying on what is sent to our inboxes to fill these pages would leave TECB in a state of such disrepair that FEMA would have directors and board members resign. Poor tasting Katrina references aside, this instrumental album, Parallel, is a nice combination of dusty drums and vocal samples. Lay your ears on this track, “Sometime,” for example:

If you like what you hear, the album is yours for free. Head on over to Equalibrum’s Bandcamp page and download yourself some MP3′s. He’s a fellow North-easterner transplanted in the Golden State. Which means he’s smarter than everyone remaining in that wing of our country. Just kidding. Sort of.
