Dave Dub – “Superfly” [VIDEO]

Some new visuals from Stones Throw. Dave Dub with “Superfly” off of his latest release, The Treatment. Dave Dub has hit the walls of TECB previously with his work as one half of The Fucking Mutants with Megabusive. This beat, courtesy of Tape Mastah Steph, reminds me a little of “Smokefest ’99″ off of Rap Life by Tash, which I just dusted off a few days ago for the first time in years. I’m really feeling the slow tempo’d beat against Dub’s brisk delivery. Plus my man dons a silk robe. Not too much more G than that.

Megabusive – “Dialtone” prod. by DJ Traps

Here’s Megabusive’s video for “Dialtone,” from his 365-songs-in-365-days project. That’s right, he made a song a day for a year. That’s more songs (write, record, and in most cases produced) in a year than I take showers in a year. I’m not ashamed to admit that. Save water, yo.

Chip promised a productive 2012 and dude’s already been featured 3 times in the first month. I think he’s making some head way on his promise. Peep his recent TECB features here. And support the man, he’s got a real nasty shoe addiction.

Megabusive & Opski Chan – “SPLAT.”

Union workers are huge in my family. From pressman, to police, to correctional officers, and even pipe fitters, the Spacey extended family is definitely pro-union. The local 280 Merkers Union is more up my alley, and these two members Megabusive and Opski Chan will fill you in on how to become a member:

“It’s just a matter of time before people go; SPLAT!” Ain’t that some truths. This track, produced by Megabusive himself, is yours if you just follow this link and then heed further instructions by the Isolated Wax brethren.

“Crunch Time” – Megabusive

I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s resolutions. My take is, if you want to stop or start doing something, then just start or stop doing it, why the fuck do you need an invitation? Excuse my language. Same goes for Valentine’s Day: why should you tell your loved ones you love them one day out of the year; what kind of selfish shit is that? Before I go off on one of my incoherent diatribes of corporate America and it’s manufactured holidays, get to scoping out Megabusive’s latest offering, a max-single by the name of “Crunch Time.”

Megabusive aka Computer Chip released this song as the New Year unfolded and it’s part of his year-long project called My 2012 where he’ll drop singles and some videos that will be independent of other projects, EPs, and albums. I like that idea and Chip isn’t a stranger to year-long projects, he’s not far removed from dropping a joint a day for a year.

And by joint I mean a song written and produced by himself, each day of the year. For you math failures that’s 365 songs. I barely speak 365 words a year. Also check his work as The Fucking Mutants with Dave Dub here. Support Chip by downloading “Crunch Time” here and tell him TECB sent ya.
